AOC C24G1 Review – 144Hz E Sport Curved Gaming Screen.

Unboxing, Look and Feel,  Connectivity

From the moment Chris Barnes from AOC dropped this beauty off with me I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. The retail Packaging screams Gaming. Who doesn’t like a bit of colourful print on a box to get the heart racing?

The mat finish with red accent lines and ultra-thin bezel is immediately noticeable, the penguin feet stand makes for a very sturdy monitor and the monitor boasts tilt, height adjustment, swivel left to right and it is Vesa 100×100 wall mountable. Another thing to mention is that the curve on the back of the monitor is very flat which gives it a very flush mount when being wall mounted.

World War 3 – Early Access releases today

world war 3 game logo

We’ve been super excited about World War 3 from The Farm 51 (creators of Painkiller: Hell & Damnation)

Today is the day as they say. World War 3 is being released on Steam as an early access game with confirmed servers in South Africa. For a price tag of only $28 compared to what Battlefield 5 is going for it really is a no brainer.

The game unlocks at around 18:00/19:00 (South Africa) and the download is around 30GB of what I could find. We will be doing a live stream tonight to showcase some game play and get to grips on the mechanics of the game. Heads up however, you will need to have a pretty good CPU and at least 16GB of RAM as well as 8GB of VRAM on your GPU as per several posts on the discussion forums...

Destiny 2 – Trial weekend and my thoughts

Destiny 2 was free to play this weekend with about an hour’s worth of allowed single player campaigning and some multiplayer access to give gamers a chance to try the game. In the video I show you what Destiny 2 looks like and show off some multiplayer game play.

In short, Destiny 2 is a great game. I have not enjoyed a single player game this much since Crysis 3. Below are some of the pros and cons. My opinion of course and you might have different views.

  • It looks incredible, down right sexy
  • Game play is smooth and I have not had any issues with regards to lag or frame rate drops. Keep in mind I used the vanilla settings and did not bother to go balls out on the graphics.
  • Single player looks very promising. Great looking guns and enemies. Sometimes challenging.
  • Multiplayer was smoo...
